Everything could go, but the original outside walls must remain!

After downloading the lot, I quickly got to work, creating a young adult sim called Marc Sterman, an enthusiastic writer new to the town of Riverview. After a few hours of playing around, removing walls, creating walls. Changing windows again and again and finally selecting a set of stairs. I managed to come out with something that I’m quite proud of.

Matt sent me a copy of Windows 7 Release Candidate, because every time I tried the download failed. (it is legal) and now I have it to play around with until it is released officially on like the 22nd of this month.

So its Sunday July 5th 2009 and I sit here writing my 5th blog in the 31 for 31 challenge, because I’m working hard to make sure I have things to write about, my mind is constantly ticking as I search the web, talk to friends and family and while I work to think, what can I blog about. Or some times something will happen and my mind will click, *Hey thats a good blog idea* but as these Ideas come and go, you realize that no one else gives a crap about some of the things you may find interesting so you let the idea go, that or you have no idea how to turn it into words so you simply give up and do something else.

Today I started off with several things to blog about, ideas I had at work, about how when you see customers dressed in a certain way you think “I will have to keep an eye on that one, look at that hoodie with all those pockets for thieving” or “look at the rack on that blonde chick” or “Holly FUCK dont you know what soap is?” but I figured I wouldnt be able to make much of a blog out of that so I let it go and instead did a few things around the house. I.e play computer repair guy for the family, fix the parents PC because its virus protection wont let them do anything, help put a CD player into my brothers car, Show my mum how to use a MP3 Player, or test out the caravan’s TV reception and show dad how to use the TV tuner on my old laptop.

As soon as I got a moment to myself, I found myself editing around working in iWeb ’09 to put together something new for ii-blog.com. The hosting for mine and iRelle’s blog has unlimited space and usage, so I decided to open blogs to the public with a request form, people can now go to the ii-blog.com home page, click the Join us Link and send through a request to have a blog hosted here with ii-blog.com the form sends the email through to an email address I’ve set up for the occasion, which i will check daily to see if there are any new requests, most requests will be accepted and currently the blog hosting will be free, with no ad’s required, although I may change that eventually depending on how many requests we get (if any at all)

But that is all I have to blog about this Sunday, other than letting you know my fingers are numb and I cant feel the keyboard as I type, the rest of me is sitting nice and warm inside of my super nerd jacket (SGA)

Cya

This weeks iPhone app of the week is by Electronic Arts Nederland BV and it is their new app, Trivial Pursuit (International) the app costs $5.99 from the iTunes App store and is currently labeled with Apple as New and Note worthy so I figured, why not give it a go and see where mine and Apple’s opinions meet up.

APPLICATION DESCRIPTION
With 1,000′s of new questions, you’ll never run out of answers. Stunning graphics and rich sound effects immerse you in the game. Feeling nostalgic? Play a round in Classic Mode. In the mood for something new? Choose your path to success in Pursuit Mode. Answer fun and challenging questions correctly to get your piece of the pie!!!

MY REVIEW

Before I start, I would like to point it out that I have and probably always will be completely useless at Trivial Pursuit unless they bring out a Trivial Pursuit for Geeks, in which case I will probably still fail! Because that is my kind of thing… I prefer mindless entertainment, really speaking myself up here aren’t I?

After downloading and playing this game, I hate to say that in my opinion it isn’t really worth the $5.99 price tag, maybe $1 or $2 but $5 is something a bit hefty for someone like me who isn’t really a general facts / history buff. The game itself is relatively easy to play, with a shake of the iPhone the dice roll’s its way around and you get to select which piece you want to jump onto, I will admit that I played the game on easy, because I know Medium or Hard I would have given up on in about 2 minutes. Although I almost found Easy to be too easy, to the point in which I got about 20 questions right in a row and had already earned 3 Pie pieces before the AI opponent even had a roll of the dice.

But let me tell you, Once I failed that Sport and Leisure question I was screwed with a big old pile of bad luck and dumbness on my part and for about 15 minutes after that I didn’t get a question right and I put the iPhone down on the charger to write this little old review.

In my opinion if you want a game to pass the time, Crash Bandicoot Racing or iCopter might be a better bet for some small entertainment factor, unless testing your knowledge is your forte I really don’t think this app is worth much, I do how ever highly rate the game app with its like-ness of the real board game, the creators have managed to successfully capture the essence of the Trivial Pursuit Board game extremely well and the AI, Single player adaption is great for those who want to test their knowledge in solitude.

Over all I rate this app 4/10 with it’s most redeeming factor being its likeness to the real game.
