Treasure Madness, the only reason I even use Facebook anymore and its all because of a stupid little flash game that @ClaireMichelle got me hooked to! A couple of weeks ago I started playing when watching How I Met Your Mother at Claire’s place and now a few weeks later I’m level 38 and wondering, why the hell am I still playing this point and click Flash Game? I played Farmville for a while until I got up enough points that I didn’t have to work for anything anymore and the game became dull, now my crops have withered away and I don’t care.

But I still find myself desperately searching maps digging up squares for treasures! Maybe the fact that there is such a wide variety of treasures to find and that when you lock in a set you know your that much closer to having more Museum $$ But What ever it is, you should really check out Treasure Madness on Facebook and join my Team and send me Health kits!

Renovation Sims!

So today I came to Anna with a little challenge, and the challenge was for both of us to completely renovate / remake a building downloaded from modthesims.com the house we selected was an Abandoned Warehouse style lot. Link Here The house was chosen and the rules were simple. Everything could go, but the original outside walls must remain!

After downloading the lot, I quickly got to work, creating a young adult sim called Marc Sterman, an enthusiastic writer new to the town of Riverview. After a few hours of playing around, removing walls, creating walls. Changing windows again and again and finally selecting a set of stairs. I managed to come out with something that I’m quite proud of.

HIGHSPEED CHASE!

I was watching an action movie the other day, and when ever there is a high speed chase, or the criminal has gotten away, the hero, the good guy always has access to a vehicle to join in on the action. Like when they run up to a bystander who has a motorcycle and the claim it for official police duty, saving the world crap, and they hop on and off they go flying through the streets at dangerously high speed.

Just once, I would like to see them hop on the bike, then maybe fall off the other side. Or not be able to ride it, I mean come on… why does every action hero know how to ride a motorcycle, especially when half of the time they are the underdog and all this other bullshit.

Also, think about it, if you are this bystander and the cops just take off with your motorcycle or car… what are you supposed to do about it. What if said bystander was on their way to a job interview, an important meeting. I’m sure the boss is going to accept the excuse GUY – “Sorry I’m late, but my bike got taken by an FBI agent in some high speed chase” BOSS – “Your fired”

OR, say said hero crashed, dented, scratched your car/bike, I mean come on there is always some form of highspeed crash bang explosion. Imagine going to the cop station, or FBI agency and saying, hey yeah… my bike got scratched up when one of your agents took possession of it for a highspeed chase on the 16^th of October…. Are you guys going to get it fixed for me? Agent Person – “What highspeed chase?” “We only use official FBI Vehicles here, please leave”

And (because I didn’t want to use OR or ALSO again) say the bystander whose bike/car was used gets a speeding ticket, I mean hello. Said Agent/Copper who took the bike/car is obviously going to be breaking some road rules in this highspeed persuit. Imagine sitting at home, your bikes bashed up from some stranger riding it for unknown reasons, simply because he had a badge… used up all your petrol and on top of it all, YOU are getting a speeding ticket, or fine for running a red light… Who knows.

Sure its all fun and games when your watching the movie, but next time when you see some Protagonist take a bystanders bike in a highspeed persuit. Just hope that they pay the bystander all his dues!

Compromising?

So for the five of you that follow me on Twitter, you will know that the other day my iPhone 3GS fell off my bedside table, a total hight of say 2 feet onto the carpet, and decided that it didn’t want to work no more. After about an hour of trying to get my iPhone to turn itself back on or do anything, I came to the conclusion that it was unfortunately dead. A $1000 phone, dead from ONE fall onto carpet. I realised I would need a phone, even if it was only temporary, so I jumped in my car and headed down to the Telstra shop to get a cheap temp phone and ended up getting the LG TU720 Shine for $249. Hoping that if I gave the iPhone a week or so to recover that it may get better and just be all good and stuff.

But now, a day after using the LG Shine, I’ve realised the simplicity in just a normal phone, I know that may come as a shock to some of you, the iPhone is my life, along with my Macbooks. But just using a simple little Slide phone that has half the features of the iPhone is some what relaxing. It was fun to figure out and remember how to use a Non Qwerty Touch Screen Phone, but the simplicity of its features and functions actually have me thinking… If the iPhone doesnt work and for some ungodly reason isnt replaced by warrenty then maybe I could just stick with the LG Shine for now.

Although I feel the iPhone may have spoiled me still. While yes the iPhone 3GS only just got video recording etc. Most standard phones these days have Video recording and 3 or more MegaPixel Cameras meaning that for just fun point and shoot photos all you need is your phone. The iPhone has GPS and a large screen, easy to control once you get past the fact that it isnt a 1234567890#* Phone. It has an abundance of features that you think… why do I need that, but when you loose access to such feature your in pain thinking WHY OH WHY GOD IS MY FEATURES GONE!

I think, if the iPhone maybe changed up its design a bit more and moved away from the plastic single colour backing and added a better quality Digital camera, and hell a Front camera for video calls. There would be no reason for me feeling this semi-attraction to a normal phone once again after having used an iPhone for over 1.5 years maybe the iPhone needs to change its design up to keep people interested. Sure Apple you can bring out a great device, and most of the time the same customers will be buying your product, and when you send out a new and improved version they dont want just Under the Hood improvements, maybe spicing up the aesthetics a bit will bring more people in, and convince more people to upgrade.

One of the major things that I may have come to expect from phones though after the iPhone is a fully featured Internet browser, it will be one thing, along side the GPS and the add-on Applications that will take me back to the iPhone. Because I can’t live with a Bad Mobile Browser version of Twitter and Facebook… Not Anymore, which is why I am glad that after a day of the iPhone resting, I plugged it in and alas it started to charge, who knows maybe it was the 3.1.1 update after all. All I know is that Im gunna use this LG Shine for a few more days, get my fill for usage of the basics and then I will go back to my beloved iPhone. What happens with my LG Shine? Well lets just say my Mum needs a new phone… She doesnt even have a camera on hers.

So most people that know me, know I love Technology and Art… but recently my Artistics have been rather lame / non-existant besides the on-again off-again Photohunts with Anna Relle. I really can’t seem to get into Photoshop anymore, hell I hardly use it when editing my images, I usually use iPhoto because its easy, maybe I’m getting to lazy to be Artistic, who knows. But I know I want to draw more, and this can’t happen until I get out and get some supply’s. Currently I have nothing, I have a bunch of notebooks and crap but I need to get myself a large ass Drawing Book and a collection of Pencils. Maybe this weekend I will check out Birchalls and Officeworks. But while I search for my creative muse.

I found this video on the web, of a rather tallented person showing themselves Drawing the Shaytard family from Youtube (If you havent watched their videos. You should! but I’m to lazy to link!)

Some times when I see other peoples works. Even Andrew and Anna’s it makes me think. RIGHT drawing. But as I said before lack of supply’s means I don’t end up doing anything. I gotta tackle that head on! That’s all I have to share with you today. Sorry for the crappy quality blogs lately. My Bad

Just a quick blog update, because I feel i have to let the world know.

At 2:22 Sunday the 13th of September, after standing up from my desk and walking to my bed
I managed to trip over my Macbook’s Magsafe power connector
Successfully unplug the Macbook with out it moving an Inch
(thank god for magsafe)
And then proceed to slamming my head
Into the doorframe
Successfully turning off the light switch
with my own forehead.

It hurts like hell.
But it got the Job Done.
Light Off – Check
Macbook unplugged so the charging light doesn’t keep me awake – Check
Everything still in one piece? – 50%

Whats Crackin!?

So its time for another bloggity blog blog, Yummoooo.

Not much has happened since my last blogity blog, although there is the news that I now require glasses for long distance viewing. Apparently things aren’t supposed to be as blurry as they were looking, so now after a trip to the Optometrist and $200 later I am a week away from having to wear glasses for driving and watching TV, anything that requires me focusing at something in the distance. I have a feeling it will look something like this….

What else is new? Uhm… well I just completed my Tax return for the year, I should be getting around $600 + back out of the $6000 that was withheld. Sooo crap! I want more more more! But I guess I should be thankful that I am getting any of this money back, especially considering everyone got $900 earlier in the year.

Oh and I suck at ordering things on line! I ordered Heroes Season 3 on DVD from EzyDVD when i wasnt logged in, and went back a few weeks later and ordered it again when I was logged in, and now I magically have 2 copies of Heroes Season 3… Who likes Heroes? I got a DVD to give away… My bad.

Uhm, yeah… as you can see I’ve been rather lazy lately and haven’t actually blogged in a few days. I’ve checked out my blog everyday and looked at the daily view count and all that jazz but nothing has hit me to make me think. WOW I should blog about this, that or the fact that I’m no longer posting every single day I don’t look at things and think. “Would this make a good blog post” So I think I MAY start trying to blog again every day, even if they are just short and sweet… although knowing me they will be short and stupid.

Yesterday or today, one of them! Was the first day of spring. YAY I’m so glad we are heading into better weather! I hate winter, and even though summer can get unbelievably hot. I’m glad its just around the corner. Better weather may mean more photos and just stuff in general.

This coming weekend I have a photo session planed with Anna and Claire! So look out for that on my Flickr Page either late Saturday or some time Sunday!

Since going back to work I haven’t really done anything, but I haven’t been feeling to good either. Yesterday me and Kyle went up to Ben Lomond to see the Snow before it was gone for the year… but we chickened out when we got to a National Pass check point and 1. We were in a Ford Focus, Front 2 Wheel Drive and didn’t have snow chains and 2. We didn’t have a National Park pass. So it was a waste of a trip but a good drive.

What else… Snow Leopard came in the mail! It’s fantastic… That is all

Infecting 10 People

So in my boredom after work, sitting here at my Macbook Pro, after reading countless posts on several sites, listening to a dozen or so songs on iTunes and flicking through my Twitter feed, I turned to Facebook to see what my “friends” had been up to and found this link. http://friendshipstatus.com basically its an app for Facebook which looks at your profile and spits out some so called “Facts” about you that it has decided from looking at your profile.

Apparently I have 168 Friends, so why doesn’t my Blog Stats say the same… LOL I’d say I have 100+ Work Mates / School associates and a handful of Online peoples.

Apparently though i have 48 more friends than usual, so it looks Like I will have to do some cleaning out and cut a few ties. 43% of my friends are Male, and 57% Female, with 57 Single Friends and 84 who are dating or married.

If I were to contract a deadly variant of the flue, I could likely infect 10 people with 1 of them people being likely to die… Yikes!

If/When I ever post something on facebook it is likely to be viewed 17 times and if I were to die today, aproximatly 384 people would attempt to attend my funeral.

Also! Based on my Facebook profile I have a 90% probability of getting married. So there is hope for me yet!

I’m likely to earn a total of $1.8 Million US and have 2 and a half children in my lifetime. Must mean a Midget baby in my future!
