Thats right Folk’s I got a hair cut today, I went from having hair over my eye’s to having hair that is sooo short you can hardly run your fingers through it. To tell the truth I prefer short hair for several reasons.

1. It dries quicker
2. Looks tidier
3. I can see!
4. Dont have to go to the hair dressers for a few months!

Those are the top 4 reasons that I like short hair, with number 4 being the reason my hair grows long… Going to the hairdressers is something I ALWAYS put off, I don’t even mind going to the hair dressers I just really try to put it off all the time for no reason at all. But hey, who really cares about that.

In other news, you all remember my 13″ Unibody Macbook that I got at the start of the year which met an unfortunate fate after  a drink of orange cordial flew at it? Well I had a dream last night that I randomly turned it on and that it worked. It was a weird dream but it was a helpful one. When I woke up this morning I pulled it out from under my bed, plugged it in and held down the power button, after a few seconds it lit up, EVERYTHING lit up. Screen, lights… it worked! I was so happy, for about 15 minutes as everything worked as it should, but then it crashed. So my dream had come partly right.

I went out for lunch, got my hair cut and then went to play some WOW at Kyle’s place, that didn’t really work though as Kyle’s net kicked us off every 2 minutes… we wasted 2 hours doing this!

Once I got home I thought, hell why not try it again for good measure and it Turned on, right now it’s been running for about 40 Minutes and all seems well, although from when dad opened it all up to dry it out, the DVD drive has become unset and there is now the Simpson’s movie stuck in it, good thing I had two copies of that movie! I’ve got music playing with the speakers muted and iTunes visualizer running just to keep the Macbook under a bit of work to make sure it can still do all its old tricks, at the same time its updating all the software and everything is running fine, I guess we will find out after the software restart if it was just a lucky shot or if my Macbook is fine, if it is… I’m going to have two Macbooks, 1 PC Desktop and 1 iPhone 3G, (+ an iPhone 3G S come release)

World of Warcraft has definitely hindered my creative blogging mind. I just want to keep playing and keep leveling and just yeah. I never thought I would be one to become addicted to the game. But there you have it folks, the impossible has become reality. I’m so addicted that I’ve been playing on my Telstra NextG Pre-Paid wireless USB stick thingi.. (thats a mouthful of a name)

Why am I playing on my Pre-Paid Wireless? Well lets just say that who ever decided to put download limits. I.e. “cap’s” onto Australian internet plans needs to be shot and buried, resurrected and kicked in the balls. Really, who decides. Hmm, we are already charging them to access such and such at such a speed Lets make them want to pay for our even more expensive services by making it that they get slowed if they download to much on our cheaper services.

25Gig is not enough in 1 month when you buy a game that is primarily online and has over 3 Gig worth of patches required to download and install just to be able to play it. Especially when media streaming sites are becoming more and more accessible. Whats worse is that isn’t even the cheap internet plan, the cheaper one is 12 Gig of download… I don’t know how I ever lived with out it. But still I have over a week until my plan resets and I think I might burn down Telstra.

Sorry for the ranting on all the nerdy technical stuff. OH OH OH That reminds me.
Eventually I want to do some photobloging on this site as well. I.e. posting some of my photography work stuff (not actual work work just fun photography projects on the side) that I plan to be doing more often with my DSLR camera. Today I woke up and was in the mood to go and take photos and see what there was in the world of Launceston to inspire me. But the bad weather hindered my inspirationality… (That isn’t a word I know) Sure some wet weather pictures would have been good. Although seriously? Do you expect me to take a $1500 camera out into the rain. Yes it is wet weather proofish so I was told, but I don’t want to trust that. Lens’s alone are worth a small fortune to replace.

Uhm thats my rambles for tonight/this morning in a nutshell.

(I’ve neglected Twitter this week as well. I’m a bad person)

Okay so I’m probably kind of almost definatly don’t know what I’m writing about in this blog but after yesterdays sorry excuse of an entry I decided I might give it ago and when writing out the title thingi I think I kind of scared myself as to how quickly the year is going by. I think I’m stuck in a routine of work and stuff and I kind of want to get out of it. Not so sure if its Work I want to get out of or just something different.

Hell maybe a Holiday would do nicely! I haven’t really had a proper one in ages… maybe a trip to Melbourne or somewhere would be good just to get out of Tassie. I’d like to go to America or Europe but at the moment I’ve only been over to Melbourne like three times in total and would probably prefer to see more of Australia first. Who knows!

I think this might be another short random blah type of blog because my brain doesn’t seem to be functioning to well this week… maybe WoW kill’s brain cell’s… that aint good if it does.

Me and Kyle are utterly hopeless. We have a ridiculous death count.. i.e us dying a lot and most of the time that results in Andrea dying because she was trying to back us up. We… okay Me.. I have a habit of wondering away from the group and attacking one animal and then having three or more other animals decide they like the look/taste of me.  So Im a major cause of concern, but when Kyle headded off to work me and Andrea played for a while to Level up so we can help Kyle out more… Andrea is more experienced than the both of us, but the higher level she is the better for us being a Priest means she can heal and revive at higher levels… where as I need to level up so that I can Tank a lot more.. I.e run in get the enemy’s attention and cause most of the damage while Andrea stands back and heals me constantly so that I dont die and while Kyle stands at afar and throws his Fire balls that take a bit of time to charge up.

So its been pretty fun. most of the time We end up laughing our asses off. Kyle managed to wonder into some mountain area where Hord and level 20 are rampant… which perplexed myself and Andrea as to how he ended up there.

Ok sorry for this majorly WOW rampant blog. I will try and get a better one up before the end of the week. As for now Im taking a computer break until Kyle finishes work and we can play WOW some more.

Part 1

Ahh Wednesdays how I… love you (btw I am well aware that it is actually Thursday but considering the day hasn’t exactly happened it is difficult to post about it) Wednesday’s.. Middle of the week, close to the end but not so close you wonder where your weeks gone.. that’s what Thursday is for, Friday is just for the euphoric thought of YAY OMFG WEEKEND <3 (Side note that is covered in Part 2)

For people who work for the company I work for, Wednesday is the day that your bank account is magically replenished anywhere between $1 – $700 depending on how much you worked and or didn’t work. But hmm bit of a problem this week… with Easter (there is that word / holiday / religious thing again)  With Easter Monday being a public holidays, pay processing was a day late so really my pay doesn’t go in until Thursday, which kind of sucks when your bank account is sitting a little exhausted because you cant help but be an impulse spender (I.e. Buying World of Warcraft, a Digital SLR camera, a Macbook Aluminum 13”)  I have a problem that probably isn’t going to go away for a while so much for the global economic thing slowing down peoples spending, if anything mine has increased and I haven’t even received the $900 bonus thing that the government has been doing.(Looks like I’ve found a part 3)

Anyway I can’t remember where I was going with this part now so onto…

PART 2 *insert ominous music*

While it may have seemed that from part one that part two was going to be about Fridays and weekends, well that was a trick. It really isn’t its actually on the <3  thing at the end…. Or the so called Internet *heart* I remember when people started using Less than 3 I used to think they were saying OMG I *ice-cream* you… which really had me confused and then I learnededed it meant I heart you etc and blah blah.

I kind of always thought it always looked like testicles? Im not the only one right?

This part is actually going to talk about something from Anna’s blog. She mentioned how more and more often American terms and words are replacing the relaxed care free Aussie language words and stuff. I was a good example of this after having one day typed ‘mom’ instead of ‘mum’ in the conversation window. While yes it is annoying how many American words / terms have been recently taken up in Australia… you kind of have to think that it is kind of the Australian way… we are pretty lax with our language and everything so when American Programming is so Prominent on Australian Television, is it really that unexpected that people are going to slip up with things?

The real part 3 was going to be about the economic crisis stuff. But right now I don’t think I can bring myself to coherently discuss it at all. Let alone type it out and hope it makes sense… basically all I have to mention is that aparantly American studys or some crap are showing that the Recession in America is slowing or what ever, meaning that they believe their economy is slowly back on the rise which could really be a good thing and I hope it is because it means everything will sort itself out quicker than I think people were planning it to.

The Australian Government Broadband network.

Just wanted to touch on this slightly, I saw the news that they are starting it in Tasmania this is awesome news I just hope they get it online fast and have it working reliably for a decent price. Unlimited downloads would be nice because with the planed Fiber to the home network. 100MBPS would mean most users would need unlimited unless they simply limit users from insane amounts of traffic such as 100Gig (that means in under a year you could fill a 1 TB drive simply from internet downloads)

SUB PART 5 SECTION 1

Just an addon… I am currently a level 6 Troll in World of Warcraft J

-Piece out home dawgs

Today was interesting for me, I pretty much started the day by posting my old Telstra ZTE F256 Flip Phone to a Matt in Melbourne. I sent it by express.. I just hope it gets there in one piece… (Okay Daniel move onto something interesting) After which I called Kyle while driving around (BAD DANIEL! GO TO THE CORNER) which resulted in us having Lunch at Charcoal Chicken and something triggered us to talk about Eckleston Road. A piece of formerly gravel road that was kind of bad luck to Me and Yolanda with in a 24 Hr Time frame.

Let me rewind a year or more for you. This one night, me, Courtney and Kyle were driving around where ever the road took us and we ended up on said road. I was driving, everything was going good but then this corner jumped out of no where, my breaks locked up and we almost kissed a rather large tree. Luckily we didn’t Crisis Averted. The next day myself, Yolanda and Kyle headed back to said road to see where I had almost crashed, and then roughly 100 Meters up from the tree I almost became quick friends with, Yolanda lost control of her car over a corner and over corrected and send the car fish-tailing into a fence. Boy that was fun, what more is that I happened to be filming at that same stage. Here is the footage from the back seat.

Note: Although I do say repeatedly that she should try and do something stupid. The ‘accident’ was in no way planed.

Okay that’s enough of a walk down memory lane. Now onto the new stuff!

I dropped Kyle off at the hairdressers as he had an appointment. It took an hour for him to have his hair cut and re-coloured… such a girl! We then headed into EBGames after much thought over the past few weeks and we both purchased copies of World of Warcraft… the WoW, you know… Internet gaming phenomenon of the past two years or so, when the game originally came out we kind of boycotted it, not seeing how you could justify paying $100 at the time for the game and then a monthly fee of like $20 just to play it. Although now we both have jobs and junk so we got it.

We took our laptops and intended to play it most of the afternoon… but NOOO WoW needs to install updates… actually it needs about 6 or more patches installed. Starting with 264 MB worth which we thought was bad enough… a few hours and patches later Im installing a 2.6 GIGABYTE Patch… seriously that’s insane, just ship a new DVD!

AHH that has me so angry right now and as I write this blog I have 553 MB of it downloaded and roughly 5 Hours to go… how insane is that I swear!

I have a feeling I could be talking about WoW more often in my blogs now so I’m going to do something for people that don’t have an interest in WoW. In non WoW blogs there will be the usual title, butt for Blogs about WoW experiences and stuff I will insert a tag at the start of the Blog title such as [WoW]

So for example a blog title could say [WoW] Its Monday 13^th Friday

Get it? If not I pitty you. Well this blog seems to have ranted on for long enough now… 3 Pages in Microsoft Word. Time to post it!
