Church Challenge

Posted by on December 16, 2009

So Anna decided to throw down a Photoshop challenge, usually I’m the one setting the challenges so it was a bit weird to be on the receiving end of a challenge. Even though it wasn’t a competition I still decided to give it ago. When I saw the stock image that she had chosen for the Photoshop challenge I had no idea what I was going to do with the image, but then something hit me, I’m not sure how happy I am with this piece. Its the first real work I’ve done in photoshop for ages.

identity

The simple rule was that the image could be manipulated in anyway you see fit, but at least 1 element of the image must be recognisable / remain and now that I think about it I could have done something completely different! Like just keep the door or something randomly.. but oh well I’m done now! You should join in as well! Check out iRelle for the Info!

I like the polaroidness! And the word Identity – lol, it almost looks like it belongs in my grade 12 Art portfolio!! absolutely LOVE the hair/tree blend in the top middle block. blue forehead = awesome! The white sky worked well for you… it annoyed the hell out of me. YAY successful challenge!

This is what I love about this challenge is that I was not expecting a pic like this! I love the polaroid too!! That looks awesome, cool angle, face/eye combo! Eyes to the soul perhaps? :-p

Heh, I figured in some way yours would be techy like, and Anna’s would be mystical. hehehehe

A polaroid (which prints out of a camera, …a printing camera…) then the various single colours, that seemed like a single spectrum of colour that camera’s use when split up. My mistake, gave it too much depth.
