Bring it on 2010

31 Dec

Wow… SERIOUSLY? It’s now officially the last day of 2009 and while I’m not really a person that celebrates the whole New Year thing (mainly because I’m lame and working) It’s just weird thinking that it’s another year, sure I’ve been through 21 of these before but it’s kind of scary just how fast they move… I mean it doesn’t feel like I’ve been blogging that long, BUT ii-Blog.com was started on the 1st of July, the same time that Anna and I started our own, blog every day challenge, or the 31 for 31 as I called it. It’s just weird thinking how much has changed… At the start of the year I became a Mac fanatic… so someone shoot me now… anyway here is a video for the end of 2009, lets hope that 2010 is a great year.

Anyone feel like blogging every day? Muwahahaha

Merry Christmas

25 Dec

I would just like to say, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, I hope you all have a great Christmas, eat lots, be jolly and try not to remember that you have to return to reality in a couple of days. Hopefully next year I will be able to start feeling like I can blog properly again! HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS

Weird Light Image

17 Dec

The other day Claire tweeted this link about Torch / Light Graffiti by a photographer in Britain, and today as I was importing photos from my DSLR, I found this one random picture that I have no idea how / where / when it was taken but it resembles the light graffiti a lot, if only I could remember how I did it, maybe I could refine the idea and try my own form of light graffiti.

Gingerbread House

16 Dec

The other day I got a weird craving to make a gingerbread house… yes MAKE a gingerbread house, not to eat a gingerbread house but to make one. I don’t know why, maybe it had something to do with the fact that a few videos I watched on youtube had Gingerbread houses, and it could even have been the fact that in primary school, one of the students mothers would ALWAYS make a massive gingerbread house around christmas time and bring it in for the class. Anyway, after a few days of uhming and ahhing I found a recipe this morning and through out the course of the day I got to work, only just finishing it about an hour ago.

I had a few problems with the dough at first, It was ROCKSOLID, then the Icing was being stupid… although I think the electric mixer may be on its way out because I almost burnt out the motor doing the dough… But the house is up… for down and it has a TON of icing on it holding it together, the chimney is a failure, but its there anyway! Now to eat this thing….

Church Challenge

16 Dec

So Anna decided to throw down a Photoshop challenge, usually I’m the one setting the challenges so it was a bit weird to be on the receiving end of a challenge. Even though it wasn’t a competition I still decided to give it ago. When I saw the stock image that she had chosen for the Photoshop challenge I had no idea what I was going to do with the image, but then something hit me, I’m not sure how happy I am with this piece. Its the first real work I’ve done in photoshop for ages.

identity

The simple rule was that the image could be manipulated in anyway you see fit, but at least 1 element of the image must be recognisable / remain and now that I think about it I could have done something completely different! Like just keep the door or something randomly.. but oh well I’m done now! You should join in as well! Check out iRelle for the Info!
