Sim-Sunday is just a little something that iRelle and myself are going to start trying to do on a weekly basis. Basically we started playing the Sims 3, a game we’ve both had for a while but our interest kind of faded away. Until randomly I dusted off the DVD case and tried it out. The reason that I stopped playing the Sims 3 was because I had just moved onto Macs as full time computers the same time the game was released and at the initial release date the Mac support for The Sims 3 was fairly crap. Many users would run into the problem where their games just wouldn’t save. Hanging on the Saving Screen for hours on end and doing nothing. I unfortunately was in that basket. But now a patch or two later and I’m going strong.

I would like to introduce you to Lucas Wainwright, he is the sim that I started with from scratch. He moved into a rather dull, and old two story, one bedroom home which I quickly set out to renovate. To start off with, the beach front house just got a bit of a facelift. Repaint inside and out, new furniture and the kitchen got moved. After that he found a job at the local newspaper, working as… Can you guess it? A Paper Boy. But he quickly worked his way up the ladder and today he is currently a Star News Anchor and owns 4 local businesses with partnerships in 3 others.

The Love of his life was Blaire, a Young Adult the same age as Lucas who he didn’t really love to start off with, she was just his bed buddy, until Blaire had his child, a girl called Julie. Quickly after that they got married (original?) and pumped out two more kids, Finn and Suzanna. Even though Blaire spent most of her life at home pumping out his children. She had a job at the local police station, until she died on the job, leaving the family rather depressed.

For the past 3 days they have all been randomly bursting into tears. But today Finn had a Birthday and became a Teenager and the aim to become an illustrious author. Unlike his older sister Julie who has no idea and no aim in the world, although she does love steampunk.

Although you have to ask the question. Is Julie really Lucas’s daughter? She is the ONLY member of the family to have brown hair, with Lucas and Blaire both being blondes. Suzzana is the boring child… Don’t lie, you all know there’s one of them. She has no goals at the moment and is just a B grade student who loves Indy music.

So… how did I fit three children into a 1 bedroom house? Well yes. I had to renovate. The Downstairs two car car-port was turned into a new entrance and family/living room, with the old living room becoming the Kitchen and the downstairs bathroom expanding. The upstairs area where a Kitchen once lived became the Second Bedroom with another one going into the dining area. But with the age differences between the children I thought it best to add a 4^th bedroom, and soon after the upstairs deck was walled up and became Finn’s bedroom.

There you have it, an introduction to my sims family the Wainwrights. You will be hearing more of their tales, story’s and adventures as the Sundays roll on!
