Cheeky Checkups

13 Aug

Okay so I was sitting here watching the SciFi Channel on Austar and this ad comes on. Called Cheeky Checkups and I managed to find the ad on youtube, it went something like this.

Why am I showing you all this, or why did I even check this ad up further. Well remember what I said before, THIS AD WAS ON THE SCIFI CHANNEL, a channel devoted to geeky, nurdey, scientific, shows and not to be sexist or anything, but the majority of SciFi Fan’s are Guys.. sure there would be a few girls that would watch it. But still, it kind of just seems like the ad wouldn’t really be overly effective on this channel.

Check out more of these ad’s at http://www.cheekycheckup.com.au/Tv-ads.aspx

lol, nice ^.^ Although, i usually reserve my toasting time for making a drink to go with the toast.

Also, I think more girls than you realise are scifi fans, and besides… even geeks have girlfriends!

“Overall, women now represent 43 percent of its audience, up from 41 percent in 2006.”

That was 3 years ago! ok, so it is for the American Sci Fi channel, but look at the percentage, which I reckon could apply easily to australia’s interest in sci-fi… maybe more so, Australia has a huge love for Dr Who (sci-fi), much much much loooonger than USA did for embracing it, Dr who is a generational series where everyone usually knows of it, before the new series was even started… ok, so i’m a little off tangent.

But 43% is almost half! :-p even 20% would warrant the advert/awareness check being shown.

P.S. lol its a funny ad!
