Texting while Driving?

So recently a hot topic in the news has been the PSA Ad from England trying to prevent people from texting while driving by using a more direct scare tactic. Now people are wondering should we use this Ad or something like it in Tasmania due to the higher than average road toll this year. With the first half of the year having the highest road death toll for several years. Some people are saying that the ad wont work in Tasmania, but nothing else they have done so far has helped slow down the Deaths on our roads so maybe its time for something different and not just the old. “Just Like That” Ad. Here’s the video, tell me what you think. Should we adopt this ad or something similar? or is it too graphic?

So in my boredom after work, sitting here at my Macbook Pro, after reading countless posts on several sites, listening to a dozen or so songs on iTunes and flicking through my Twitter feed, I turned to Facebook to see what my “friends” had been up to and found this link. http://friendshipstatus.com basically its an app for Facebook which looks at your profile and spits out some so called “Facts” about you that it has decided from looking at your profile.
Snow Leopard

This is just a short blog to let you all know that Snow Leopard, the new operating system created by Apple for their Mac’s has been given a set release date of August 28th. I know that only 1 or 2 other readers here have a Mac so it isn’t all that exciting for the majority of you. I’ve just pre-ordered my copy and if you have a Mac you can pre-order it on their website. P.S I’d also like to apologise for the lack of posts and interesting posts at that, I think I may be going down to 4 Posts a Week, simply because I’d prefer to post better quality thing blogs rather than just half assed things for the sake of posting. But I still also want to post little news updates of thing’s I find, so you may find a bunch of updates one day and none the next two… Who knows what I’m likely to do!

Did you crack the code?
If you didn’t shame on you! It was quite easy if you took the time. The Code isn’t so much of a code as it is just two paragraphs done in Photoshop using Ancient Handwriting Font from http://scifiworld.com anyhow here is the un-fonted version.
We hold these words as the truth,
A hearty welcome to those of other worlds.
If your visiting our home for the first time, we welcome you once more.
To those returning, you have been gone to long
And your absence has weighted heavily on our souls
Now that you are amongst us we are whole once more
And we celebrate your return
As we leave for distant worlds, we pledge to respect the lands of our neighbours
To act with integrity as ambassadors in times of peace
Travellers with open hearts will always be welcome
And refugees from tyranny may seek shelter under our roof
As our people will lay down their lives to protect the weak and just

The two paragraphs are a loose translation of the actual Ancient writing on the stairs leading up from the Atlantis gate room.
