The six-year gay relationship between two male Penguins, Harry and Pepper has ended after Harry left Pepper for the “more attractive”, recently widowed female penguin Linda!
Harry and Pepper, the male/male penguin pair at San Francisco Zoo were just like any other female/male pair of penguins, looking after their nest in the exact same way as heterosexual penguins. In fact, they seemed to manage it better than the heterosexual pair’s according to the Zoo’s Curator for Birds, Harrison Edell.
Harry (6) and Pepper (7) had nested together for several seasons, and in some of their most recent chick-raising seasons of looking after chick’s they were given to rear, they were by far the fattest and happiest on the island. The perfect Penguin Parents.
But recently, Harry has moved into a neighbouring nest with the recently widowed Linda, this has left Pepper heart broken, spotted by visitors to the Zoo wondering aimlessly back and forth around the Penguin enclosure. According to Harrison Edell, Linda’s recently departed partner was a leader of sorts in the Zoo’s Penguin community commanding several nests.
And apparently in the Penguin world, real estate mean’s a lot! So in the penguin sense she would have been a pretty attractive prospect. With the recent Split, Christian website OneNewsNow.com has said that the split of the gay couple is a sign that Nature Prefers Heterosexual relationships, while other blogs and websites have been more sympathetic to the heart-broken Pepper labelling Linda as a home wrecker, living for her own happiness, the little slut!
When I saw this on Yahoo News, the story had me laughing so I thought, This defiantly has to be blogged. What are your opinions on the Penguin Love Triangle! Comments Below!

I think Harry’s a bit of a cow. >.< Linda was only more attractive because she had a better home… what kinda reason is that to leave your long-term boyfriend?? Shallow, is what that is. But the part about raising the best penguin babies is awesome, and shows that although the gayness didn't last, while it did there were wonderful results for everyone involved, and no hard feelings. The christian websites seem to have glossed over this part of the story, and the fact that the relationship existed at all, and was successful. so… bleh to them!
